Libraries....a treasure trove of free fun
Finding activities for little ones can get so expensive. It is not always feasible to spend the money on entrance fees, activities and food just to have some fun. There are many ways to keep your kiddos entertained without spending a dime. One way to do this is the library.

Most communities have a public library nearby but are underutilized by the community. Maybe you are not a big reader or just don't have time to read so you pass on going. Even if you are not going there to check out a book you can participate in other events that they may be hosting. You would be surprised at some of the events that they host.
Some of the events that our local library hosted: movie nights, treasure hunts, board game nights, story time, dress up, musical play, Easter egg hunts, murder mystery night, and so much more. All for free or a very nominal fee. We recently went to one that offered free face painting by an amazing artist and balloon animals that were just as fantastic. While kids were waiting they could play yard games. It was a lot of fun!!
